What is the Early Childhood Data Dashboard?

This dashboard is a valuable community asset, tailored to help understand the early childhood ecosystem.  The goal is to support community members in planning and implementation of systems to meet the diverse needs of families within the Ottawa Area.  This includes child care access, employment clusters, medical access, affordable housing and more.

This dashboard was supported by funding provided from the  Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential (MiLEAP) utilizing  American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding, from the Office of Child Care, Administration for  Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Early Childhood Action Plan Development

Families, child care providers and employers responded to surveys to provide critical data insights that shaped the development of our Regional Child Care Action Plan . These surveys revealed key challenges, such as child care availability, cost and the specific needs of different demographics.

This work provided to the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District by the Policy Equity Group.
